Sunday: 10:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m. | Wednesday: 7:00 p.m.
Born as the result of a community-wide tent revival, our church was formed in 1916. Neighbors joined together and chopped and picked cotton in order to raise enough money to build a small church on a lot donated by a couple of ladies. Ninety years later, we still worship on that lot – although a few other lots and buildings have been added to the originals.
Located four miles west of Dyersburg, the Finley United Pentecostal Church continues to shine the light of hope throughout west Tennessee.

Every child deserves a relationship with his or her heavenly Father. KidzOne provides the knowledge and environment for that to develop. Children between the ages of four and eleven (who can use the bathroom by themselves!) enjoy lively classes and worship every Sunday morning and Wednesday. We provide nursery assistance to parents of younger children. Bring the whole family!
Revolution Student Ministry
The Revolution is the youth group of the Finley United Pentecostal Church. Revolution is comprised of students who are dedicated to live a life of truth and a deep relationship with Jesus.
Finley United is all about family. Learning, growing, sharing - it's all part of the family experience. Whether your current life challenge is parenting three children or navigation a career as a single adult, family makes the difficult bearable and the joy exuberant. At Finley United, everybody is family!
We hope you will worship with us this Sunday! However, we understand that visiting a new place can sometimes be overwhelming and uncomfortable. We want everyone to feel comfortable when they worship with us, so we have provided this description of what to expect when you visit Finley United.
Please note that there are some Sundays where we have only one worship service. Please check the calendar (available on this site) if you are uncertain.
The main entrance to our church is actually in the back – right off the main parking lot. If it is raining or you have a passenger that cannot walk very far, please pull under the carport on the south side of the building. Once they have entered the building, you can then proceed to the parking lot behind the church and enter through the main entrance. Parking is also available in front of the church and across the street at Union Station.
Although the main entrance is at the rear of the church, there are also entrances on each side near the front. (There is a separate entrance to our childrenʼs sanctuary, but we keep it locked so we can control access.) Regardless of which door you enter, you will be greeted by an usher or a hostess. They will help you find your place, and if you have children, take them to KidZONE. You will be asked to write your name and contact information on a Guest Form.
Rest Rooms for both men and women are located at the front of the main church building.
You should wear what makes you comfortable. Some of our men wear suits and ties while others prefer jeans. Most ladies wear dresses or skirts. However, we are delighted that you have chosen to worship with us and no one will make a big deal about what you wear.
Worship services are lively and highly participatory. The service is loosely structured with no printed Order of Worship. The congregation will sing and will be invited to pray aloud. In addition to the congregational singing, there are usually one or two songs sung by soloists or groups. Worshippers will clap their hands and say “Amen!” with the preacher. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you like. You will not be singled out or pressured to do anything. We will pass the offering plate as part of our worship, but guests are not expected to give. At the end of the preaching, the congregation is usually asked to gather around the front for prayer. Again, you are welcome to join them or to remain at your seat. Plan on the Sunday morning service lasting about 90 minutes. Sunday evenings can go a bit longer. Our Wednesday evening Bible classes last one hour.
Our folks tend to linger and visit after the service, so you donʼt have to be in a hurry to leave. Someone will be at the Information Desk in the lobby to exchange your completed guest card for a small gift. They can answer any questions you have about our church, and give you information about our free home bible studies and other ministries.
To provide a safe environment for our church family, we have a security plan that limits access to our buildings during events. This includes locking certain doors on a varying schedule. If you exit the building while an event is in progress, please be aware that it may lock behind you. Please ask an Usher to assist you if you have to leave and plan to return.
